I Remember

Mom's red lipstick that she wore to church, certs that she always kept in her purse to keep us kids quiet in church and her braiding my hair everyday. She braided so tight my head would hurt for hours. But my strongest and best memory is of her humming. She would hum while she sewed, worked in her puzzle book or just sitting there doing nothing. I miss you Mom!!!

what a wonderful tribute to your mom. i'll bet she would love it! i tell my teenage daughter that one day she will remember all the little things about me and the things i do for her and appreciate them one day. i do the same about my mom. isn't it funny the things we remember the most about our mothers? nice job!

This is really lovely -- I love the colors you chose and I know how healing it can be to sew on all those beads...but it's not easy either. The idea of Certs made me smile...I haven't seen them in a long time...

This is a nice page. Your color choice and flowers in the background ring 1950's/60s. Did I get it right? Funny how the little things come back to us when we think about the ones we loved.

How lovely Dot..

My sweetest memories of my Mother are those where she worked in the kitchen & did things around the house, she always sang or hummed as she worked.. So this page of yours, made so sweetly for your dear Mother brought a tear to my eye as I thought of mine..
